Special Guest: Ben Patrick Johnson (Life on the left Coast)
For the last month I have been checking out this VBLog called “LIFE ON THE LEFT COAST” by Ben Patrick Johnson. I have also check out some of his past post (as he has been doing this since March 07). He is awesome and his blogs are more than just the rant and raving of some bloggers (like me – lol). On the Fourth of July he posted the following blog. So far this is my favoriate one. Ben Patrick Johnson (born June 30, 1969 in Tucson, Arizona) is an American writer, model, entertainment journalist and voiceover actor. His first national exposure came as the announcer and anchor for Extra, an entertainment magazine show, in 1994.[1] Johnson claims that he was demoted to on-air correspondent after the show’s producers learned of his homosexuality. Warner Bros. Television, producers of Extra, refused to comment on Johnson’s allegation. In 1998 Johnson became the announcer for rival entertainment magazine Entertainment Tonight. He also performs a variety of commercial voice-over work.
Johnson’s novels include In and Out In Hollywood, a roman à clef about a celebrity news show anchor who comes out at the company picnic, and Third and Heaven. A third novel, One Size Fits All, is set to be published in June 2007.
In March 2007, Johnson launched a weekday podcast called “Life on the Left Coast,” a video blog featuring news, commentary, celebrity friends and a humor segment featuring reports in Spanish delivered by his housekeeper, Connie Asada.
Johnson’s work as a fitness model has landed him on the covers of such magazines as Gloss, Pink and Instinct.
Johnson resides in Los Angeles, California.
